Do I have to use a specific solution?

Yes, either the HOBOT window cleaning solution or Cyrstal Clear. Both these solutions will not block the ultra sonic spray system.

The HOBOT window cleaning solution is a great cleaner and window polish. The Crystal clear solution is great to break up dirt and grime.
